The Sheffield Adult Autism Neurodevelopmental Service is based at Lyndhurst Road (SAANS) which provides assessment, diagnosis and multi-disciplinary interventions with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (including disorders formerly known as Asperger's Syndrome) and associated neurodevelopmental disorders including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). SAANS also provides a national assessment and diagnostic service as well as follow-up appointments and counselling subject to funding by the clients local Clinical Commissioning Group.
Main duties of the job
The Receptionist role will work as part of a team of administrators to provide an efficient and friendly service to all patients and visitors attending the base. We are looking for an experienced receptionist or administrator to perform all allocated administration tasks required to meet the needs of the service and to contribute to the smooth running of the office by providing effective administrative support for the SAANs Service. The candidate should possess good organisational skills and be able to ensure the professional image of the department and Trust is maintained at all times. Flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure are also essential.

If you hold a visa which allows you to work in the UK, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that SHSC will be unable to offer sponsorship after your visa expires. You must also have at least 12 months on your visa at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
Job responsibilities
 * Undertake reception duties as appropriate, including dealing with the public over the telephone and face to face.
 * To maintain patients records and appointments to a high degree of confidentiality.
 * To clearly communicate orally with members of the public where there may be barriers of understanding.
 * To undertake typing and produce documents as appropriate, using PC based word processing, spreadsheets, and data-based packages.
 * To undertake general office duties including filing, document control, document scanning and photocopying.
 * To process all incoming and outgoing mail including emails.
 * To process booking courses and workshops offered by the service.
 * To provide administration support for courses and workshops, collating materials and preparing registers.
 * To provide relief cover for other members of the administration team as appropriate.
 * Maintain accurate level of all stationery and stock.
 * To facilitate room bookings for clinicians and staff as required.
 * Assist in the closure of the building on behalf of all teams.
