Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel, a striking Grade II listed iconic building in the vibrant Spinningfields District, offers 148 stylish hotel rooms and suites with modern amenities. The V&A is the home to Chop & Plant our casual drinking and dining destination, offering a blend of Chop House classics and plant-based dishes with a focus on local produce and sustainability. What you will be doing:
* Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests and staff during the night.
* Use your expertise to always deliver a first-class service to all guests.
* Ensure a minimum of 2 security walks are carried out on each shift, with emphasis on fire safety and overall security of the building.
* Conducting the nightly audit to close the day’s business and liaise with the accounts team to ensure accuracy.
* Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date reports.
* Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, debit, or credit cards.
* Sell a room/accommodation to a guest, without a reservation, based on availability.
* Assist in recruiting, training and developing the team to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
What we are looking for:
* A warm and genuine individual who enjoys putting people first.
* Strong recent experience in a busy hotel at Assistant/Night Manager level.
* Demonstrable experience leading an established night team.
* Excellent organization and delegation skills.
* Computer literacy.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
