Your new role
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, the Production Engineer/CNC Programmer will be primarily engaged in the support of production on a departmental andpany wide basis. You will provide production engineering support for manufacturing cells and be responsible for the provision of CNC programs on time, to aid production through-put and meet scheduled deliveries. You will supply work instructions, tool sheets, fixturing and packing drawings, and storage of the same and ensure jobs are routed to best available machines, correct material type & size is selected and accurate set-up & run times are recorded. You will also be required to manage the change control process and create/maintain BOMs, technical instructions and procedures.
Hours of work:
Shift - Monday to Thursday 0800-1630, Friday 0800-1300
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally we would like to see candidates with a HNC in a relevant subject and have 3 years experience in a CNC Milling role. You will have the ability to develop a manufacturing process from drawing to finishedponent with understanding of costs – selecting machine tool, material, work holding, cutting tools, programming and overseeing this through prove out and hand over to operations. Experience in using CAD/CAM to generate and post process CNC programmes using fanuc controls preferred, but not essential.
