Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW to join our team at HMP Swaleside, a Category B men's prison.

As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will contribute to the smooth and safe operation of the facility, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
Team and Environment
You will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment for all.
Candidate Profile
* Minimum two years' experience as a steam boiler operator or similar role.
* Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements.
* Familiarity with BG01 - safe operation of boilers.
* Experience with commercial or industrial steam, heating, and water systems.
* Qualified plumber (C&G 6035, C&G 6189, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* BOAS accredited boiler operator course or equivalent.
* Good Health & Safety knowledge.
* Strong organisational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
