Are you an experienced site or contract manager with a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects? We're looking for a Contract Manager to lead the successful delivery of highways schemes, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction at every stage.
About the Role
As a Contract Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the day-to-day management of our highways projects. Acting as the Management Representative for Heidelberg Materials Contracting, you'll oversee all aspects of site operations, from planning and execution to client liaison and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Leadership: Manage the full lifecycle of highways projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
* Team Management: Lead subcontractors and internal teams, ensuring clear communication, safe working practices, and high morale.
* Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients to foster trust, ensure satisfaction, and secure repeat business.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations. Lead daily safety briefings, site inductions, and toolbox talks.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records including inspection sheets, material logs, plant usage, and labour allocation. Submit timely reports to head office.
* Planning & Programming: Collaborate with suppliers and operational teams to ensure effective resource allocation and adherence to project timelines.
* Cost Control: Provide weekly cost-value reconciliations to monitor performance and maximise project value.
