The Project
As an experienced Finishing Manager, you will be responsible for managing a significant project, a New Build Residential Development valued at £20 million, situated in Central Manchester. You will be playing the crucial role, ensuring that the final stages of construction are completed efficiently, to high quality standards, and in accordance with project requirements.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
SMSTS
CSCS
First Aid It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience of successfully operating as a Finishing Manager or similar position
Demonstrated history of successfully completing the finishing of various new build high-rise residential projects valued at up to £20mAdditional skills;
Quality management
Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Extensive familiarity and proficiency in utilizing software such as SnagR
A solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to finishing tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a meticulous eye for detailThe Role

Day to day use of SnagR
Initiate discussions and handle any concerns or requests from clients
Monitor and assess the performance of finishing crews and subcontractors
Manage and monitor finishing expenditures to maintain adherence to budget limits
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues promptly
Implement the safe execution of finishing tasks, aligning with health and safety regulations
Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets while maintaining high standards of quality
Supervise the completion phase, overseeing finishing work aligns with quality standards efficiently
Manage finishing crews and sub-contractors to ensure timely completion of work to specified standards
Coordinating the handover of finished areas to clients or tenants, including final inspections and snagging
Identify and address any arising issues encountered during final stage of project, implementing a successful completion
Perform inspections and quality assessments, verifying finishing work meets specified standards and requirements
Keep detailed documentation of finishing tasks, encompassing progress reports, material receipts and subcontractor agreements
Oversee all finishing aspects of construction projects, including interior and exterior finishes, trim work, and final inspections
Facilitating the turnover of completed areas to clients or tenants, which includes conducting final inspections and addressing any outstanding issues
Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to effectively coordinate and oversee the scheduling and management of completion tasksThis is a long-term freelance position with a competitive rate on offer for the successful candidate.
