Shaw Healthcare is recruiting a Deputy Manager for Cartref Cleddau Care Home in Pembroke Dock to deliver quality care and support to our service users in line with our care principles of 'wellness, happiness, and kindness'. You will work with colleagues to meet the physical, social, psychological, and emotional needs of our service users.
Cartref Cleddau is a 24-bed residential care home providing care for individuals with mental health conditions.
Location: Fort Rd, Pembroke Dock SA72 6SX
Hours: 37.5 hours, including 18 hours as a nurse on shift.

Main Responsibilities
Essential Skills & Duties of a Deputy Manager:
* Knowledge of CIW/CQC standards and the Health and Social Care Act 2008
* Developing and implementing evidence-based, individualized care packages, therapeutic interventions, and activity programmes
* Leading and supervising support and nursing teams to deliver person-centered care through clinical governance and personal development
* Experience in sickness management, staff training, coaching, and mentoring; effective communication skills
* Engaging effectively with service users, families, and colleagues; good interpersonal skills
* Understanding disabilities and care needs, assisting with mobility and continence using aids and equipment
* Providing care to meet personal hygiene needs (washing, dressing, bathing, toileting)
* Awareness of Health and Safety to ensure safety of service users and colleagues

* Nurse Qualified
* Previous Deputy Manager experience
* Experience supporting the elderly
* Strong knowledge of person-centered care
* Ability to assess needs and deliver care plans that promote fuller lives
* Commitment to high standards of care and resident wellbeing
