Commercial Account Handler / Account Broker / Client Manager / Client Broker West Midlands (Hybrid Working) £27,000 – £35,000 Commutable from Coventry, Solihull, Birmingham, Leicester, Worcester, Warwick and surrounding areas We are working with a well established, independent insurance brokerage in the West Midlands who are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Account Handler / Account Broker / Client Manager / Client Broker to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in commercial / B2B insurance who enjoys managing existing client relationships and delivering a high level of service, rather than focusing on new business generation. You will be joining a collaborative existing business team, taking ownership of your own portfolio of clients and supporting them across a broad range of commercial insurance needs. The Role This is a client relationship focused role where you will act as a key point of contact for your portfolio / book of clients, supporting clients throughout the full policy lifecycle. The position is centred around retention, renewals, and ongoing client support, working closely with insurers and internal teams to ensure clients receive the right cover and a smooth service experience. Key Responsibilities * Managing a portfolio of commercial B2B clients across a range of sectors * Handling renewals from start to finish, including re-broking where required * Processing mid-term adjustments (MTAs), client queries, and general policy administration * Building strong relationships and providing day-to-day support to clients * Liaising with insurers to negotiate competitive terms and solutions * Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is compliant * Supporting clients with policy changes and ongoing insurance needs * Identifying opportunities to enhance or expand cover where appropriate * Ensuring all work complies with FCA regulations and internal procedures What we need you to have: * Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial insurance (essential) * Strong understanding of B2B insurance products and processes * Experience handling renewals, MTAs, and client servicing * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills * Highly organised with strong attention to detail * Comfortable managing your own workload and client portfolio * A proactive, professional approach to client service Desirable * Experience using Acturis * Progress towards (or willingness to study for) Cert CII What’s on Offer * Hybrid working model * Supportive and collaborative team environment * Opportunity to manage your own book of clients * Ongoing training and professional development * Long-term stability and career progression The client is ready to interview — apply now for immediate consideration
