Estate Technician - Part Time Cumbernauld – covering Glasgow and surrounding areas £12,729 - £13,399 per year 20 hours per week We have an opportunity for an Estate Technician to join our team of 16 based in Cumbernauld and covering surrounding areas working within Estates. For this role you would be involved in cleaning, litter picking, garden maintenance and clearances whilst keeping in mind health and safety and working to deadlines. The position sits within Property Services who are responsible for delivering high quality and cost-effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services across the UK to mainly internal clients and additionally a small number of external clients. The role of Estate Technician will include: Undertake basic repairs, grounds maintenance, caretaking and general cleaning, in accordance with agreed scheme specification Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract specifications and escalate complaints as appropriate Use equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and method statements and the manufacturer’s guidance Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks and ensure stock levels are maintained Skills and experiences British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS), NVQ 2 in Horticulture or similar or willing to work towards Pesticide Application Certificate PA1 – PA6 or willing to work towards Working knowledge and experience of undertaking grounds maintenance, caretaking, general cleaning and basic repairs duties Some practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery Basic communication skills for reading written instructions and updating records This role will involve driving on company business.
