The practice typically sees strong sales performance, often achieving high‑value dispenses on busy testing days. What is really important to the owners is patient care, customer service along with the ability to provide quality eye care.
About the Role
They’re looking for a mature, self‑motivated, and bubbly Optical Assistant who thrives on giving excellent customer care and can confidently manage the practice when needed.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Welcoming patients and explaining the eye examination process
* Supporting the Optometrist with smooth patient handovers
* Dispensing to all levels, frame styling and building rapport with patients
* Managing the practice on non‑testing days, ensuring it remains tidy and organised
* Taking initiative to stay productive during quieter periods

* Organised and able to take ownership of their day‑to‑day tasks
* Comfortable working independently and making the practice feel like their own

Salary & Benefits
* Salary up to 27,000 depending on experience
* 37.5 hours per week, 9:00am – 5:30pm
