1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Chorlton | September Start
Teaching Personnel is pleased to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chorlton to appoint a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm) begins in September and involves providing targeted one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver personalised support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small group interventions
* Work alongside the class teacher to plan and deliver tailored learning activities
* Assist with the implementation and ongoing review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
* Collaborate closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external agencies to track and monitor progress
* Adjust learning strategies, resources, and approaches to meet pupils’ evolving needs
What We’re Looking For
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
* A patient, adaptable, and empathetic manner
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
* A solid commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
* Level 2 Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to complete training)
