Responsibilities
* Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal and safety standards, ensuring vehicles meet required criteria before certification.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using specialised tools and equipment, providing accurate assessments of vehicle condition.
* Carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including engine, brake, suspension, and electrical systems.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
* Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move parts or equipment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and services performed on each vehicle.
* Ensure the workshop remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
* Proven experience as a mechanic and MOT tester for a minimum of 3 years is essential; relevant training or apprenticeships will be considered.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues accurately.
* Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in an automotive environment.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties.

Working Hours
* Standard 45hr Week with optional paid overtime available
