We are working with a leading professional services and forensic accounting firm to recruit a Royalty Auditor in London.
This role is ideal for candidates with music royalty auditing experience, who want to lead or support audits for record labels, publishers, licensees, and digital platforms.
You will work closely with clients, legal, finance, and management teams while contributing to the wider forensic audit team and business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or support music royalty audits for labels, publishers, and digital platforms.
Interpret recording, publishing, and licensing contracts to understand royalty flows.
Analyse large volumes of sales, usage, and digital revenue data.
Prepare reports detailing financial discrepancies and audit findings.
Communicate audit conclusions clearly to clients, including legal and finance teams.
Support audits across other IP-based sectors.
Stay up to date with UK royalty reporting standards and digital licensing trends.
Assist in business development and client follow-ups.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Proven experience in music royalty auditing.
Strong knowledge of music contracts and how they drive royalties.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
ACA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred but not essential if experience is substantial.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently under tight deadlines.
Proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
