About the Role
As the Delivery Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall performance and efficiency of our bulky item delivery network. This includes overseeing multiple sites, driving operational improvements, and leading a diverse team to meet service targets. The role involves frequent communication with stakeholders across the UK and China, making fluency in both Mandarin and English essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the operations of bulky delivery stations across the UK.
* Oversee site managers and ensure operational consistency, safety, and performance across all locations.
* Implement and monitor KPIs to optimize delivery speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
* Coordinate logistics planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
* Ensure all health & safety, legal, and compliance standards are upheld.
* Provide regular performance reports to senior leadership.
* Serve as a bilingual liaison between UK-based teams and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
* Travel to sites across the UK as required to support operations and project rollouts.
Requirements:
* Fluent in both Mandarin and English (verbal and written) – essential.
* Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or delivery operations.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
* Knowledge of bulky/large-item logistics is a strong advantage.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
