The Role
In this role, you will provide an excellent level of customer engagement by offering tailored advice, recommendations, and assistance to ensure a positive in-store experience. You will uphold the highest standards of hygiene throughout the store at all times, while working collaboratively and effectively with your colleagues to foster a strong team environment. With a proactive, sales-driven mindset, you will continually work toward achieving targets and drive the team to develop their in-store knowledge, skills, confidence, and processes. You will also play a key role in supporting both the Store Manager and Store Supervisor in the day-to-day running of the store.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Greeting and serving customers.
* Preparing counter.
* Preparing different cuts of meat.
* Assisting customers with their purchases and providing product knowledge.
* Preparation of counter and pre-pack areas.
* Product sampling.
* Stock rotation.
* Price reduction.
* Receiving deliveries and completing paperwork required.
* Special offer material distribution.
* General cleaning.
* Internal training.
* Supporting management function.
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven butchery skills gained in a retail or manufacturing environment
* Previous experience of supervising others would be advantageous
* Good knowledge of food safety and legal requirements
* Proven customer service excellence.
* Determination to drive sales.
* IT literacy.
* Capability to motivate and guide team daily.
* Ability to support store manager when not on site and act in a professional manner.
* Competent to work well under pressure.
* Strong communication skills.
* The ability to work on own initiative.
