Service Manager for Children's Mental Health

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate service manager to join the leadership team for children's mental health at CWPT in our new integrated children's directorate.
The service manager will be a key part of the leadership team as we work to dynamically and creatively run the day-to-day delivery of a patient-focused and needs-led children's mental heath service within the new directorate.

Main duties of the job
The role of each of the Service Managers is to help systematically improve and enhance the effectiveness, quality and safety of care provided within their area of responsibility, with the aim and ambition of delivering continuous service improvement and a positive working environment for all staff.
They will manage and deliver high quality, efficient and cost-effective services which are patient centred, and as safe as possible.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will work in conjunction with the General Manager and Heads of Service for their area to lead the provision of efficient, effective and high quality professional and well, co-ordinated services which meet all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the contracted activities of the Trust.
They will provide supportive, visible operational leadership and hold direct line management responsibilities for clinical teams and services within a designated care pathway.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to a Masters level or demonstrable knowledge at the same level
* Evidence of other leadership training and commitment to personal development
* Extensive operational experience in a clinical setting
Experience
* Significant experience of operational management a senior level in the NHS or within an equivalent healthcare setting
* Experienced in working with other teams, internally and externally, to manage operational issues in a clinical setting
* Demonstrable experience across mental health and/or related services
* Relevant experience of managing clinical services, stakeholder management; and partnership working at a senior level both internally and externally.
* Significant senior management experience within a range of clinical settings.
* Relevant experience of implementing operational planning with oversight of clinical effectiveness and outcomes
