Senior Project Manager
Reports to: Change Director
Location: Leicester (Hybrid working 4 days per week in the office); transit required to Nottingham offices from time to time.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week (6/9 months Fixed Term Contract).
Due to the continued expansion of our Business Change Team, we are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our team based in Leicester. This role requires active engagement with key stakeholders and the delivery of technology solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead a portfolio of IT and business change projects delivering value-driven technical solutions to business stakeholders.
* Measure and control utilisation, margin, and minimise overruns.
* Lead, motivate and develop allocated and seconded team members to achieve performance and behavioural objectives.
* Drive best practice project delivery from concept through to delivery.
* Deliver projects across a range of types (Business Apps, IT Infrastructure, IT Transformation, Data Migrations, IT Support Services) within a utility supplier environment.
* Implement best practices for Project Management and Requirements via Jira or similar tools, and deliver CI/CD using solutions like Github/Gitlab.
* Manage risks and issues to successful conclusion.
* Change management, including impact assessment, business readiness and communication.
* Oversee resource allocation and address resource challenges.
* Manage tender and procurement of contractors and third‑party services from RFP to support and handover to BAU.
* Find ways of improving project efficiency (scoping, delivery).
* Senior stakeholder management.
* Implement cross‑functional projects with strong track record in large organisations.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in project budgeting and road mapping.
* Experience with cloud solutions such as Salesforce, Mulesoft, and emerging AI/automation solutions such as Power Automate.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
* Organised with attention to detail and strong multi‑tasking ability.
* Independent thinker with problem‑solving skills.
* Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑driven.
* Focus on results and delivery.
