Are you an experienced Emergency and Out of Hours Clinician looking for a unique opportunity to shape and lead a brand-new service? Bridge Referrals, a purpose-built multidisciplinary independent referral centre in the North East of England, is expanding, and we are looking for you to join our journey.
The Opportunity
In 2026, Bridge Referrals is expanding into a new site (adjacent building) so we can offer a dedicated Out of Hours and Emergency Care service, alongside new on-site MRI, hydrotherapy, and physiotherapy facilities.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to be the founding Emergency Service Lead. This is a chance to build a service from the ground up within a dynamic, forward-thinking, and sustainable organisation.
For a leader who shares our values and vision, there is the option to secure an equity or profit share in this new service following a successful qualifying period.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the creation and running of the new Emergency and Out of Hours Service.
* Drive recruitment for the new team members.
* Organise and manage the service operations.
* Plan and procure necessary equipment.
* Liaise with and establish relationships with new member practices in the region.
* Exercise a high level of independence and responsibility in decision-making, supported by an experienced management and referral team.
This new service operates as an independent part of the Bridge Referrals Group, ensuring autonomy for your team and cases while maintaining the critical backup of our established, multidisciplinary referral team for onward case management.

You will be joining a team of experienced clinicians across internal medicine, oncology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, cardiology, and ophthalmology, all working closely to ensure smooth case management. They are supported by an exceptional team of experienced nurses, veterinary care assistants, and a friendly client care team.
