Senior IT Support Technician – Education Crawley, West Sussex £32,000 – £37,000 Outstanding Benefits Monday to Friday | 8am – 4pm Why You’ll Want This Role: * Make a difference – directly support the digital infrastructure of local schools * Enjoy real variety – provide onsite and remote support across multiple academies * Grow your skills – work on trust-wide IT projects and gain exposure to cutting-edge tech * Great work-life balance – early finish and generous holiday allowance What You’ll Receive: * 25 days holiday bank holidays 2 extra days at Christmas * Generous pension scheme * Blue Light Card – discounts on retail, travel & more * Long-term career progression opportunities within a respected and growing Trust * The chance to work in a role with genuine social impact What You’ll Be Doing: As a key member of the IT Services team, you will: * Provide high-level 2nd Line (Tier 2) support to staff and students across multiple school sites * Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and key applications * Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, switches, and wireless systems (Aruba) * Troubleshoot software, hardware, and connectivity issues * Support rollout of new systems, upgrades, and applications * Set up and manage user accounts via Active Directory and Group Policy * Collaborate with the IT Manager and wider technical team on major infrastructure projects What our client is looking for: * Proven experience in a 2nd Line IT Support or similar role * Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and user management * Working knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and server support * Confidence with Hyper-V, SCCM or WDS, antivirus tools, and backups * Experience supporting Wi-Fi networks (Aruba or similar) * Excellent customer service, communication, and troubleshooting skills * A full UK Driving Licence (essential – multi-site support involved) Bonus Points For: * Experience within the Education sector * Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education * Hands-on involvement with infrastructure projects (e.g. port management, server upgrades) If you're ready to take the next step in your IT career, apply now.
