We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to be one of the first to join our team at HMP Millsike, a Category C men's prison located in Full Sutton near York. HMP Millsike is a newly built prison with an operational capacity of 1500 inmates. As part of the government's initiative to reduce reoffending, prisoners spend their sentences learning skills to facilitate employment upon release. This position offers a unique chance to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site.
Working Hours
* Monday - Friday: 6.45 - 19.15 (11.5 hrs)
* Saturday - Sunday: 8.00 - 17.45 (8.75 hrs)
You will work a 10-week rolling pattern, alternating between 3 long shifts one week and 4 days the next, including weekends.
Essential Requirements
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up-to-date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* Ability to work independently following policy and procedures
Desirable Experience
Experience in hospital, community, or prison pharmacy environments is preferred. Working in secure environments is challenging but rewarding, offering opportunities to develop healthcare skills in a dynamic setting.
