This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, build a high-quality service from the ground up, and make a profound difference in the lives of young people. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the home, ensuring exceptional care that exceeds Ofsted's Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) standards. Develop and implement placement plans tailored to each young person's needs. Foster a safe, nurturing, and non-institutional environment that promotes dignity and well-being. Supervise, train, and develop staff, ensuring clear objectives and regular appraisals. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), upholding robust safeguarding practices. Collaborate with parents, stakeholders, and external agencies to deliver effective care planning. Manage budgets, staffing levels, and health and safety policies to maintain operational excellence. Engage young people and stakeholders in shaping the quality of care and service development. About You Essential: Level 5 NVQ in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or part-completed). At least 2 years' recent experience working with young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years. Minimum of 1 year's supervisory experience in a children's residential home. Experience managing EBD, learning disabilities, or complex behaviours. Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, safeguarding, and Ofsted regulations. Valid UK Driving Licence. Ability to work therapeutically and manage challenging behaviours. Desirable: Previous experience as a Registered Manager. DBS on the update service.
