Hours: 5 mornings per week, 3.5 hours each (17.5 hours/week)
Contract: Fixed-term for 1 year (subject to successful probation)
Working Year: Term time only
About the Role:
Albrighton Primary School & Nursery is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work under the guidance of the SENDCo and SEND Hub Manager. You will support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who have Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs), both in the classroom and within the SEND resource hub.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils’ personal needs and assist in delivering Individual Education, Behaviour, Support, and Personal Care Plans.
* Supervise and support pupils with SEND, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
* Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils tailored to their individual needs.
* Promote inclusion, cooperation, self-esteem, independence, and readiness for the next stage of learning.
* Assist the SENDCo and SEND Hub Manager with planning and delivering learning activities.
* Prepare and maintain classroom and specialist resources and equipment.
* Monitor and record pupil progress and provide regular feedback to staff, SENDCo, and parents/carers.
* Support pupils in understanding instructions and using ICT as appropriate.
* Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils take responsibility for their actions.
* Provide administrative support such as photocopying, preparing materials, and record-keeping.
* Participate in school activities, meetings, training, and assist with school trips and visits.
* Comply fully with safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality, and data protection policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
