We are seeking a Hard FM Service Manager to join our South West-based NHS repairs and maintenance team. This role manages a team of directly employed skilled trade operatives across planned, preventative and responsive maintenance.
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of directly employed maintenance operatives to deliver planned and reactive repairs across hospital/healthcare sites in a patch covering Bristol, Salisbury and Swindon.
* Ensure reactive calls and PPMs are responded to in order to meet SLA and KPI targets.
* Take day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of hard FM services, ensuring statutory compliance with current legislation and local codes of practice to protect health and safety in a working/live hospital environment.
* When in-house works are not possible, manage specialist planned and reactive subcontracted services to ensure quality and that HSQE obligations are met.
* Report to the contract manager and help deliver ongoing improvements and recommendations to the long-term contract strategy to maximise productivity and quality while achieving cost efficiencies and mitigating risks.

Experience & Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have previous experience as a Hard FM Service Manager or experienced supervisor within a similar maintenance organisation. NHS experience is ideal, however candidates with strong commercial experience transferable to the NHS will be considered.
The successful candidate will have strong influencing, communication and relationship-building skills and should be familiar with managing and maintaining statutory compliance. Knowledge of M&E building services maintenance and Health & Safety procedures in daily site operation is required.
Above all, you will have a keen customer service approach, strong interpersonal skills, and good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel).
