Drainage Engineer – Metro Rod

Base Pay Range: £30,000 – £50,000 DOE, including on‑call and overtime plus benefits.
Metro Rod works with a wide range of clients including Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Mitie, Clarion, Axa, and Wetherspoons across the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb have over 60 franchisee partners and provide high‑quality drain clearance and maintenance services across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Carry out a range of services related to the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of customers’ drains.
* Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment in line with safety standards.
* Conduct surveys and provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
* Accurately record work details using internal and client systems and apps.
* Communicate effectively with commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod support staff to ensure excellent customer experience.
* Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota, covering unsociable hours and weekends.
Qualifications & Requirements
* High‑pressure water jetting and CCTV surveying qualifications or equivalent experience.
* Excellent problem‑solving ability with solid technical knowledge.
* Positive, flexible, can‑do attitude.
* Willingness to work some unsociable hours.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Good level of literacy and numeracy.
* Must live in the Norfolk area.
