The Team:

The W.P. Holman Clinic, Launceston, provides comprehensive specialist inpatient and outpatient Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Clinical Haematology Services to the Northern Tasmanian community. This includes the state-wide brachytherapy service.

* The W.P Holman Clinic also plays an active role in cancer education and research within Tasmania.
* The Clinic is situated in the Launceston General Hospital complex and provides direct access to a range of medical, surgical and hospital services required to deliver quality, person-centred cancer care.
* Supportive and collaborative learning environment that promotes autonomy, professional growth and excellence in cancer nursing care.

The Role:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Relevant post graduate qualifications or willingness to complete the post graduate certificate in prostate care nursing and/or cancer nursing

Provides a pivotal contact point for continuity of care for people diagnosed with prostate cancer

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, part time, day work position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 3 years.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:$114,851 to $121,886 per annum,Pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowance is calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

* Relevant post graduate qualifications or willingness to complete the post graduate certificate in prostate care nursing and/or cancer nursing.
* Current Driver’s Licence

* There is an expectation that the staff member will be required to work for, or at other sites of the Northern Cancer Service.
