Your Role
As our Area Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth and safe operation of engineering activities in your area. You’ll lead, coach, and inspire a dedicated team, managing both planned maintenance and quick responses to breakdowns. Your focus will be on:
* Improving plant performance and minimizing downtime.
* Championing a zero-loss culture and driving continuous improvement through innovative maintenance strategies.
* Collaborating with colleagues and external contractors to take ownership of critical engineering assets.
* Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and environmental standards.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Lead, coach, and develop your team to enhance capability, engagement, and resilience.
* Drive continuous improvement and support a zero-loss culture through progressive maintenance strategies.
* Collaborate across functions and with contractors to plan and coordinate maintenance, service activities, and audits.
* Deliver improvements in plant reliability, reducing downtime, and ensuring engineering assets perform at their best.
* Support technical audits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance while expanding your expertise in food safety, health & safety, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For
If you can demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and experience, we’d love to hear from you:
* Degree qualified or apprentice-trained engineer with a recognized mechanical or electrical qualification.
* Strong project management and health & safety knowledge, with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Experience in food production, FMCG, or similar site services maintenance.
* NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is desirable — we encourage applications even if not all criteria are met.
