The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-driven and strategic Purchasing Manager to join the pre-opening team at The St. Regis London. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the operational backbone of the hotel, ensuring that all procurement activities from food and beverage to controllable; reflect the brand’s commitment to excellence, efficiency, and elegance.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
1. Develop and maintain an approved vendor list across all categories
2. Negotiate with suppliers and authorize purchase requisitions and orders
3. Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of food, beverage, and controllable
Inventory & Financial Oversight
4. Monitor inventory levels, rotation, and sanitation standards
5. Use financial systems to track costs, post invoices, and manage budgets
6. Conduct period-end inventory and reporting in line with brand standards
Operational Collaboration
7. Partner with Executive Chef and F&B teams to align purchasing with production needs
8. Communicate delivery schedules and product availability to relevant departments
9. Support audits and ensure compliance with safety and accounting procedures
Leadership & Communication
10. Lead storeroom and purchasing teams with integrity and professionalism
11. Provide timely updates and reports to executives and department heads
12. Attend and contribute to operational meetings and strategic planning sessions
What We’re Looking For
You should have:
13. A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field, or 2+ years of purchasing experience in hospitality or a similar industry
14. Strong analytical and organizational skills
15. Proficiency in inventory systems and financial reporting tools
16. A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
17. A passion for luxury hospitality and operational excellence
