We're looking for Psychology graduates who want hands-on experience supporting children and young people in SEN and SEMH schools. You'll work alongside experienced educators, therapists, and pastoral teams, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and build confidence in the classroom.

What you'll be doing:
* Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and other additional learning needs
* Building positive relationships that help children feel safe, understood, and ready to learn
* Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions
* Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams
* Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills
The schools you'll work in:
You'll gain experience across a variety of SEN and SEMH schools, giving you exposure to different settings, age groups, and specialist provisions.
This could include:
* Autism specialist schools
* SEMH provisions
* Alternative provisions
* Specialist resource bases
* SEND units within mainstream schools
We're looking for someone who:
* Holds a Psychology degree (or is due to graduate soon)
* Has a genuine interest in child development, mental health, or special educational needs
* Is patient, resilient, and empathetic
* Can build positive relationships with young people
* Is keen to gain meaningful experience that will support future career goals
Extra experience we'd love to see:
* Volunteering with children or young people
* Youth work, mentoring, coaching, or tutoring
* Mental health support experience
* SEN or SEMH experience
* Thrive training, or a willingness to complete Protocol Education's free Thrive training
