Our client, a global leader in event furniture and tableware hire and is currently recruiting a Laundry Services Technician.
This is a newly created role due to the expansion of their services into commercial linen hire.
This position suits an experienced commercial laundry professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-critical environment and handling large volumes of linen, including tablecloths.
The Role Working closely with the warehouse and transport teams, you will help manage an efficient, well-organised laundry operation while maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness, quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Counting, processing and sorting soiled linen by fabric type, colour and cleaning method.
2. Operating and monitoring industrial washing machines, dryers, ironers and finishing equipment.
3. Drying, pressing, folding and carrying out quality control checks.
4. Identifying damaged or substandard items requiring rewash or repair.
5. Carrying out basic machinery checks and reporting maintenance issues
6. Adhering to all health & safety procedures.
7. Bagging and preparing clean linen for dispatch.
Skills and Experience Required
8. Previous experience in a commercial laundry environment (essential)
9. Experience handling table linen / tablecloths (essential)
10. Strong attention to detail and quality standards
11. Reliable, hardworking and target-driven
12. Able to work well as part of a team
13. Good communication skills
14. Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads
