Role Overview
At E.ON, you’ll be a Social Media Specialist responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business objectives, creating engaging content, and managing relationships with agency partners.
Location, Salary, and Contract
Location: Nottingham or Solihull (Hybrid working). Salary: £46,636 – £58,937 plus excellent employee benefits and career progression. Fixed term: 6 months.
Main Responsibilities
* Social Media Strategy Development
o Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with EIS business goals.
o Set KPIs and benchmarks to measure platform success.
* Content Creation & Management
o Collaborate with content and design teams to produce high‑quality visuals, videos, and copy.
o Manage social media calendars, schedule posts, and ensure brand consistency.
o Create and curate engaging content across platforms.
o Develop a self‑serve tool and provide training for internal colleagues.
* Agency Management
o Work with the preferred social media agency to deliver content efficiently and meet performance targets.
* Community Engagement
o Engage with followers promptly and professionally, fostering community relationships and encouraging participation.
o Build and maintain strong internal and external online communities.
* Analytics & Reporting
o Use analytics tools to track performance, generate reports, and provide data‑driven recommendations.
* Trend Monitoring & Innovation
o Stay current on social media trends and tools.
o Experiment with new content formats and platforms to keep EIS’s brand innovative.
Required Skills & Experience
* Experienced Social Media Professional with a strong track record in reputation management and marketing campaign delivery.
* Demonstrable background of creativity, innovation, and disruption.
* Experience in a large, complex, matrix organisation requiring strong stakeholder management skills.
* Delivery‑focused professional, ability to work at pace and autonomously.
* Proof of influencing senior management.
* Track record of high‑quality, creative output and strong attention to detail.
* Experience in planning, briefing, delivering, and measuring planned and responsive content.
* Ability to track, analyse, and optimise campaign performance based on KPIs.
* Excellent written and verbal skills for creating compelling social content.
* Experience in identifying and collaborating with influencers, managing relationships, and tracking ROI.
* Project management experience.
* Ability to analyse and utilise target audience behaviour, market trends, and competitor insights.
