Job Overview
We are looking for a highly valued children's residential care worker to support children’s lives at The Moorings, a three‑bedroom residential home in Sittingbourne. The role involves providing crisis‑intervention and trauma‑informed therapeutic care, supporting children in achieving positive outcomes, and participating in recreational activities tailored to individual interests.
Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality residential care for children. Support their emotional and physical needs. Participate in therapeutic and recreational activities such as cinema, swimming, and sports. Work long shifts (8 am‑11 pm) with occasional sleep nights and adhere to a 365‑day service schedule with rosters given in advance.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Over 21 years old.
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
* Background checks: Full Enhanced Disclosure and reference checks.
Compensation
Salary: £37,205 – £37,828 per year (pay rate £14.80–£15.10 per hour, depending on qualifications and sleep shifts). Overtime available at enhanced rate.
Hours and Shifts
173 hours per month; long shift working 8 am‑11 pm with sleep nights; 365‑day service; rosters given in advance.
