About The Role

We require a Teaching Assistant to support our pupils, including those with SEND, with their learning needs; to work with other staff to further pupils' independence and to enable them to access specific areas of the curriculum.

The successful post holder will also organise and undertake other related duties to support learning and personal and social development.

Permanent, 13 hours per week (two days), 39 weeks per year

Who We Are Looking For

Minimum of 5 A*- C GCSE Qualification/ equivalents

A relevant additional qualification in childcare/ teaching assistance is desirable

Experience working with children in an educational setting

Ability to provide basic teaching and learning support for students identified as having learning difficulties

Ability to assist with basic teaching and learning of students identified as needing SEND support, including those with an Education, Health and Care Plan

Ability to support carrying out personal care where necessary

Ability to maintain appropriate records and provide reports to support the assessment process

To undertake routine activities with individual students or small groups

Commitment to safeguarding children and young people whilst in the schools care

Excellent clear communication skills
