Oxfam is seeking a Strategic Media Manager to lead the design and delivery of bold, high-impact media moments that break through the noise. The role involves a digital-first mindset to earned media, developing compelling stories, stunts, and media pitches that make headlines and spark conversations across social feeds. Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of high-impact media moments and campaigns.
* Develop compelling stories, stunts, and media pitches that generate headlines and spark discussions across social feeds.
* Ensure media work is mission‑driven and aligned with Oxfam’s values and public‑influencing objectives.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape narratives, shift public attitudes, and influence policy.
* Design and implement innovative, attention‑grabbing media campaigns that complement and amplify advocacy and influencing efforts.
* Manage projects, deliver media stunts or events, and coordinate timelines and resources.
Qualifications
* Lived experience(s) or evidence of learning/taking action on anti‑racism and inequalities.
* Deep knowledge of a wide range of digital, traditional, and social media platforms.
* Experience of leadership within a dynamic 24‑hour multimedia newsroom that supports organisational objectives.
* Understanding of politics and the role of people power in influencing powerholders.
* Ability to design and implement innovative, attention‑grabbing media campaigns.
* Project management skills and ability to deliver media stunts or events.
* Understanding of how media engagement can complement and amplify advocacy, influencing and campaigning.
* Creative storyteller who can inspire diverse audiences.
