Description We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Planning Consultant to support the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of Oracle EPM solutions. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) / Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS), financial modeling, forecasting, and integration with other enterprise applications. Strong skills in Hyperion Planning, Essbase, data management, and scripting (Groovy, MDX, SQL) are preferred. The role requires hands-on configuration, stakeholder collaboration, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless planning and reporting processes. Responsibilities 1. EPBCS Implementation & Configuration Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) solutions. Develop and customize EPBCS modules, including Financials, Workforce, Capital, Projects, and Strategic Modeling. Configure data forms, task lists, dashboards, business rules, and approval workflows. Ensure proper integration of EPBCS with ERP, HCM, and other enterprise systems. 2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting Collaborate with finance teams to understand planning, budgeting, and forecasting needs. Design and implement driver-based planning, rolling forecasts, and scenario analysis. Develop financial models to support revenue, expense, workforce, and capital planning. 3. Business Rules & Advanced Calculations (Plus) Develop and optimize business rules, Groovy scripts, and calculation scripts for dynamic planning processes. Utilize MDX and Smart View for advanced reporting and analysis. Automate financial processes using EPBCS scripting capabilities. 4. Data Integration & Management Configure Data Management (DM/FDMEE) for seamless data loads from ERP and other source systems. Develop ETL processes and manage data mappings, validation, and reconciliation. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across financial planning models. 5. Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting Optimize EPBCS models, Essbase cubes, and calculation scripts for better performance. Monitor system health and troubleshoot performance-related issues. Manage system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities. 6. User Training & Support Conduct training sessions and create user documentation for business users and administrators. Provide post-implementation support and enhancements based on business feedback. Ensure smooth user adoption and compliance with best practices. 7. Stakeholder Collaboration & Project Management Gather business requirements and translate them into EPBCS functional designs. Work closely with finance, IT, and business teams to align EPBCS with enterprise financial processes. Manage project deliverables, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies. Qualifications Oracle EPBCS Consultant – Mid-Level (Implementation Focus) Qualification Requirements 1. Education & Certification Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Oracle EPM / EPBCS Certification (preferred but not mandatory). Additional certifications in cloud technologies, data integration, or financial planning are a plus. 2. Experience & Technical Skills 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in implementing Oracle EPBCS / PBCS solutions. Strong expertise in configuring EPBCS modules (Financials, Workforce, Capital, Projects, Strategic Modeling). Experience in designing and developing business rules, Groovy scripts, and calculation scripts. Proficiency in Smart View, Forms, Task Lists, Data Management (DM/FDMEE), and Essbase cube optimization. Hands-on experience in integrating EPBCS with ERP, HCM, and other enterprise applications. Experience in REST/SOAP API integrations, SQL scripting, and ETL tools for data migration. 3. Functional & Domain Knowledge Deep understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Knowledge of driver-based planning, rolling forecasts, multi-scenario planning, and cash flow modeling. Experience in gathering business requirements and translating them into EPBCS functional solutions. Industry experience in finance, banking, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, or IT services is a plus. 4. Implementation & Project Management Experience in full-cycle EPBCS implementations, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Ability to lead workshops and training sessions for business users and finance teams. Exposure to project methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or MS Project. Ability to manage system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-go-live support. 5. Soft Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot implementation challenges. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work with finance and IT teams. Ability to document technical and functional specifications. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
