This is a varied role with no two days being quite the same.
Responsibilities
* Support Team Leaders and Senior Environment Officers within the Land and Water teams.
* Respond to enquiries, ensuring that responses are within statutory deadlines.
* Handle team mailboxes, adhering to records management requirements and retention schedules.
* Manage filing systems to ensure that information is accurate, up-to-date and available for use.
* Help to compile case files for enforcement
* Review and analyse data
* Assist the area with debt recovery work, collating information using internal systems to recover the costs of our regulatory and incident response work.
* Handle procurement requests to maintain equipment and supplies
* Process simple permit and planning applications
* Support and maintain the in-hours Incident Duty Roster and support the duty desk
Experience/skills Required
* A great team worker who also works well independently with minimum supervision
* Positive attitude with a desire to contribute to a diverse and inclusive work culture
* Well-organised, able to prioritise effectively and have proven administrative experience
* Self-motivated and capable of problem solving
* Proficient written and verbal communication
* Thorough, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy when recording data and managing records
* Able to analyse data and present results in a suitable format
* Competent in use of Microsoft Office applications
A full UK driving licence is required.
You will be supported to take up an appropriate incident management role.

Additional role details
The role will be based in Canterbury/Tonbridge/Abbeywood/Addington. You will work in a hybrid way, at home and from an office location. Travel to different offices across the area is required, occasionally to 3rd party sites; hire car system is available. Interviews will be held towards the end of September. Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do, requiring you to have an incident role making yourself available to respond to incidents/provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment; full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
