Job title: Lead Clinician
Location: The Shires Stretton / Oakham, Rutland, East Midlands LE15 7GT / LE15 6JB (covering both sites)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 dependent on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances)
Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

The role
We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at The Shires – Oakham / Stretton (Rutland). The postholder will work with the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and maintaining a therapy caseload. You will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex profiles of need (autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, SEMH). Meeting EHCP needs will be a primary focus, target led via OFG clinical approaches (all/group/individual). You will coordinate line management of onsite clinical team members and lead service development of the school-based clinical service alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.

Essential Criteria
* Degree qualification in the relevant discipline
* Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS)
* Experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
* Clear and concise report writing related to clinical and research activities
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently and within a growing clinical service
* Experience of multi-professional work within the designated specialty (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
