Are you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) with experience in dementia care? We have an exciting locum opportunity in Inverness, offering great pay and flexibility!
Job Title: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Dementia Team
Location: Inverness
Duration: 3 months ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £35 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join our Dementia Team as a Band 6 CPN and provide specialist mental health support to individuals living with dementia. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting comprehensive mental health and cognitive assessments for individuals with dementia.
* Developing and implementing personalised care plans to support patients and their families.
* Providing specialist interventions to manage challenging behaviors and cognitive decline.
* Supporting patients with medication management and monitoring side effects.
* Offering crisis intervention and risk management strategies to ensure patient safety.
* Liaising with families, social workers, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS standards and guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current and valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse.
* Previous experience working with dementia patients in a mental health setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
* A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
