This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Quality Manager for our Washington DC office. Be involved in projects with our Transit and Rail Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. This is a client facing role with the goal of establishing a formal quality management program and team for a transportation client to ensure improved infrastructure lifecycle management across capital and maintenance programs by establishing clear quality criteria, procedures, document control, training, audits, and compliance verification. Quality Criteria are to be established using the appropriate governing standards (e.g., ISO 9000, FTA, and WMATA QMSP standards). These activities will improve safety, reliability, minimize rework and associated contract change orders, and implement process improvements over time. In turn, that will lead to improved stewardship of infrastructure lifecycle management practices across the departments. Your Impact Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and policies to ensure that products or services meet or exceed customer expectations. Monitor and analyze data related to quality control processes, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement. Lead and manage a team of quality control personnel, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed. Communicate with other teams, departments, and stakeholders to ensure that quality control processes are aligned with business objectives. Perform audits of quality control processes, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for corrective action. Manage and maintain quality control documentation, ensuring that all necessary records and reports are accurate and up-to-date. Train team members on quality control processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs effectively. Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products or services, ensuring that quality control processes are integrated into the development process. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to quality control, sharing knowledge and insights with team members and stakeholders. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, communications, or law. 3 years of experience in quality control or a related field. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve business objectives. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends. Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels. Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and policies. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience preparing technical documents, for infrastructure planning and/or transportation engineering projects and/or FTA-Compliant quality documentation Experience organizing technical information to document standards, rules, SOPs, and handbooks Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
