An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly motivated registered nurse with varied clinical experience to join the senior Outpatient team.
The Outpatient team is passionate about improving our service and delivering high-quality care to patients. We are looking for committed individuals with excellent organisational and leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to lead and support the team and to undertake a wide range of administrative and clinical duties.
The successful candidate will meet the criteria set out in the Job Description and Person Specification. Experience in an outpatient clinic setting would be an advantage but is not essential.
The candidate will be based at King Edward VII Hospital. Frimley North Outpatients has three main sites: King Edward VII, Parapet Breast Unit, St Mark’s Hospital, and Wexham Park Hospital. Sites operate between 0800 - 1830 hrs, Monday to Saturday.
The Outpatient team supports multiple specialty clinics such as Oncology, ENT, Rheumatology, Breast, Orthopaedics, Allergy, Gastroenterology, and Colorectal clinics.
You will act as an advocate for patients, nursing and medical colleagues, and actively participate in the development and expansion of the outpatient service to help deliver the FHFT Future Strategy.

You will be expected to demonstrate high standards, display expert clinical competence, role model professional and organisational values, and lead OPD areas, managing service requirements and supporting the Senior team.
In conjunction with Practice Development, you will assess and support Registered Nurses and Care Support Workers to practice competently and develop within their roles, ensuring high standards of care and patient experience in line with the Frimley Health Strategy, vision, and Values.

Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and monitoring quality, performance, and standards of care within the departments and nursing team.
* Ensuring the implementation of clinical governance, maintaining standards, managing risks, and regulating practice.
* Carrying out appraisals for bands 5, 4, and 2.
* Supporting review and updating of SOPs, policies, risk assessments, and guidelines with Practice Development.
* Supporting students and addressing issues of clinical competence and capability.
* Leading departmental meetings and educational sessions, staying updated with NHS and nursing initiatives.
* Responding to and cascading learning from complaints.
* Leading projects and ensuring effective communication within multidisciplinary teams.
* Managing incidents, complaints, staffing concerns, and reporting through the RL system.
* Embedding local and national initiatives and service development into practice.
* Supporting recruitment, induction, and compliance with policies and guidelines.
