Qualifications:
You will have a Building Safety and/or Fire Safety related qualification (e.g., C08 Fire Risk Management in Residential Properties) or demonstrable skills, knowledge, and experience within the building safety or building management environment.
Casual Car Documentation:
The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User, meaning car journeys may be necessary occasionally. You must hold a full valid driving licence, provide your own car, and all necessary documentation. An allowance per mile of business use will be provided.
This role involves working within the Assets and Repairs team in Housing Services, overseeing building safety for council homes, and developing Manchester City Council’s HRA building safety service. It requires leadership in high-quality Building Safety services in complex environments, with experience in compliance, producing Building Safety Cases, and working with in-house teams.
Additional Role Details:
This role requires being on standby as part of the Housing Services out-of-hours rota, currently one week per quarter.
