The Company o my client runs the service buses on the island of Guernsey. You will be part of the maintenance team. o The company has been running for many years, it is well established. o The fleet requires another mechanic to come in as we have one vacancy. The Role o You will be working in a bus depot as a bus mechanic as a member of a small team o Either on shift or on days, you will be either there supporting the team of drivers on the run out/ run in or doing inspections and repairs. You will be largely left alone to work off your own initiative so experience and maturity is essential. o There are opportunities to progress down the line but for the first instance we need a solid worker in this role as a bus mechanic / PSV Mechanic. You will need to be a hard worker, a grafter. The Person o As mentioned we need an experienced mechanic with a minimum of level 3 in HGV mechanics, from either the bus or HGV industry. 3 years experience of bus mechanics or HGV is essential. o Ideally you will also have experience of electrical work Training Where necessary, training to do more and enhance your skills will also be provided for example a PCV licence if required.
