We’re working with a specialist setting that’s on the lookout for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, creating a calm, structured space where they feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading a primary SEN class, with learning shaped around each child’s individual needs
* Planning lessons that prioritise engagement, routine, and small but meaningful progress
* Supporting emotional regulation and encouraging positive behaviour
* Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the SENCO
* Creating a nurturing classroom where pupils know what to expect and can thrive
* Tracking progress and keeping clear, accurate records
* Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
What we’re looking for
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
* Experience in SEND or specialist settings, or a strong interest in this area
* A solid understanding of behaviour, regulation, and differentiation
* Patience, resilience, and a real team‑first mindset
* Someone who builds trust easily with both pupils and staff
* A genuine commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
