Diesel Mechanic

Position Summary:
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, cleaning, and inspecting diesel and natural gas-powered trucks.
Your Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot and maintain a fleet of trucks.
* Perform welding tasks.
* Contribute to workplace safety and health improvements.
* Participate in company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
* Maintain punctuality and attendance in accordance with company policies and legal standards.
* Adapt to changing duties based on business needs.
Required Skills:
* Proficient with vehicle maintenance tools (hand, electric, pneumatic, jacking, safety stands, electronic testing equipment).
* Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
* Capable of reading service manuals.
* Ability to prepare work orders and completion sheets clearly.
* Work comfortably in various weather conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Driver's License/CDL B preferred.
* Tool supply required.
* ASE Certification.
* Motor and Air Brake Certification a plus.
* Mechanical skills demonstrated through experience.
* 2-5 years of experience in a transport environment.
* Gritty, outgoing, eager to learn, proactive, organized, and independent thinker.
