Construction Project Manager – Renewable Energy
London (flexible / hybrid) - Open to fully remote positions.

A rapidly growing UK renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of a nationwide pipeline of Battery Energy Storage (BESS) and solar PV projects. Backed by strong financial partners and led by a team with extensive sector expertise, this organisation offers the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of clean energy in the UK.
The Role
In this role, you will bring together technical construction knowledge and commercial understanding to support the grid and civil engineering aspects of site acquisition, development, and delivery. You will work closely with planning, development, and finance teams to ensure projects are technically robust, compliant, and optimised for construction and long-term operation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating technical inputs across grid, civil and construction workstreams
* Producing and managing programmes of work for DNO/TO submissions
* Liaising with network operators on milestones, payments and connection requirements
* Reviewing and optimising grid connection offers and technical solutions
* Assessing site layouts, access, topography and cable routes for constructability
* Ensuring project designs meet all technical, compliance and grid standards
* Managing and negotiating with contractors, ICPs and technical consultants
* Supporting technical due diligence for acquisitions and investment decisions
About You
* 3+ years’ experience in technical delivery or project management within BESS or related infrastructure
* Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar (Civil/Electrical preferred)
* Good understanding of UK grid connections (distribution & transmission)
* Strong organisational, analytical and stakeholder management skills
* Proficient in MS Project
