Our client, a leading engineering and design consultancy, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, with opportunities available across the Thames Valley region.
This position sits within a specialist commercial and procurement team, supporting complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
* Work collaboratively within an integrated client team, building strong relationships with stakeholders, project managers, contractors, and internal teams
* Monitor and manage project costs to ensure delivery remains within budget, including validating contractor and supplier applications and payments
* Produce clear and accurate financial reports, providing insight into project performance, risks, and forecasts
* Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation and contractor appointment
* Administer contracts in line with agreed terms and conditions, including managing change processes and maintaining accurate project records
* Identify and manage commercial risks while supporting value engineering initiatives to improve project outcomes
* Contribute to the development of junior team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Experience Required for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
* Member of, or working towards membership with, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Experience working on civil infrastructure or major projects
* Strong working knowledge of standard UK construction contracts such as NEC, ICC, FIDIC, or JCT
* Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues is desirable
