We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our busy Finance team. In this role, you will support the Payroll Supervisor in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of the company's payroll across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for salaried and hourly employees Ensure accuracy of employee data, including new starters, leavers, and contractual changes Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies Respond to employee queries relating to payslips, tax codes, and deductions in a timely and professional manner Support the Payroll Supervisor with reporting requirements, audits, and end-of-year processing (e.g., P60s, P11Ds) Liaise with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate flow of payroll-related information Assist with pension submissions, HMRC reporting, and benefits administrationAbout You: Previous experience in a payroll role, ideally within a fast-paced or engineering/construction environment Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, tax codes, and statutory payments Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proactive, organised, and able to meet tight deadlinesWhat We Offer: Pension scheme 25 days annual leave bank holidays Opportunities for professional development and training Supportive and friendly working environment 50059FO INDPAYS
