Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Project Delivery Head – Propulsion Software & Calibration to be based at our customer’s site in Gaydon.
Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.
The Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Project Delivery Head to lead and oversee the execution of propulsion software and calibration programs. This role demands deep technical and program management expertise in propulsion systems, including collaboration with Bosch and other Tier-1 suppliers.
You will be responsible for managing end-to-end delivery of software and calibration content, ensuring alignment with engineering processes, program milestones, and quality standards. Onsite presence is highly preferred to facilitate direct engagement with stakeholders and engineering teams.
Area of Responsibility
Program Delivery & Governance
1. Lead delivery of propulsion software and calibration content across multiple vehicle programs
2. Ensure timely execution of calibration packages, including feature integration, validation, and release
3. Drive alignment with Agile and V-model development processes, including gateway reviews and technical checkpoints
4. Manage cross-functional delivery teams across software, calibration, systems, and validation domains
Technical Oversight
5. Provide strategic direction on calibration strategy, software integration, and propulsion feature rollout
6. Oversee calibration management including base calibration, feature tuning, emissions compliance, and drivability refinement
7. Ensure robust software management practices including version control, change tracking, and release documentation
8. Support issue triage and resolution for propulsion control features in collaboration with Bosch
Stakeholder Engagement
9. Act as primary interface between internal teams, customer engineering team, and Bosch technical leads
10. Facilitate technical reviews, program updates, and escalation management with customer stakeholders
11. Champion continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across delivery teams
Knowledge / Experience
12. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
13. Strong experience in propulsion software and calibration delivery
14. Proven track record of managing complex automotive software projects with Bosch or similar Tier-1 suppliers
15. Deep understanding of propulsion architecture, calibration workflows, and software release processes
16. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
17. Familiarity with tools such as ETAS INCA, Vector CANape, JIRA, DOORS, and Jenkins
Preferred Qualifications
18. Knowledge of hybrid and electrified propulsion systems (xHEV, BEV, PHEV)
19. Exposure to ISO 26262, ASPICE, and functional safety practices
20. PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification
