Accounts Assistant
We’re looking for an organised and detail-oriented individual with a can-do attitude to join our friendly and supportive team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our financial processes run smoothly and that deadlines are met.
No prior financial or legal experience is required – full training will be provided. However, you should have a genuine interest in developing your skills in accounts within a legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with debt collection and financial transaction processing
2. Maintain accurate daily updates of office, client, and nominal ledgers
3. Check and post bills
4. Handle internal and external calls, including taking card payments
5. Provide support and cover for team members within Accounts and Cashiering
6. Ensure compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, HMRC regulations, and other relevant legislation
7. Contribute to the improvement of office and accounts procedures
8. Carry out other duties as required

11. Clear and professional communication (written, verbal, and face-to-face)

13. Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
14. Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
15. Confident IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
Qualifications
16. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, Grade C/4 or above
Experience
17. No prior experience required – full training provided
18. We can consider candidates with accounts experience too
19. Interest in accounts and the legal sector is essential
