Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
* Use a variety of CAD software confidently with a clear understanding of the best way to approach each job.
* Produce detailed engineering layouts and details to enable house builders to build houses on site.
* Support engineers in getting technical approval with statutory bodies to meet legal requirements.
* Complete simple engineering designs including levels and details, carriageway design, external works drawings, conveyance plans, standard details and other engineering tasks as directed.
* Ensure internal processes are followed (e.g. updating drawing issue registers) so that information about jobs can be easily accessed.
* Provide administrative support to the team e.g. printing and folding drawings and document control procedures, enabling engineers to focus on design work.

Training schedule
Training will take place via day release to Coventry University during term time and on the job training during university breaks. Applicants should live within commuting distances of our offices in Abingdon and have the ability to commute to Coventry by train or car once a week.

GCSE in:

Other in:
Must contain a strong maths element. (grade 72 UCAS points)
