Personal Assistant
As a Personal Assistant, you'll be a key member of the Executive Suite team, providing high-quality, trusted support to senior leaders on the Devonport Royal Dockyard Limited site. This is far more than a traditional administrative role. You'll work in a fast‑paced, confidential environment, helping Directors operate effectively and enabling sound decision making at the highest level. Day‑to‑day, you'll manage complex priorities, build strong relationships across the business, and act as a professional interface with internal and external stakeholders. It is a challenging, rewarding opportunity that sharpens organisational, communication and leadership skills, while opening doors to long‑term career development within a global engineering organisation.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week, and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Responsibilities
* Managing diaries and inboxes, ensuring Directors' time is planned effectively
* Organising travel and expenses, including UK and international arrangements
* Supporting meetings and events, coordinating conferences, away days and VIP visits
* Preparing documentation, presentations, reports and briefing packs, including minute‑taking
* Liaising confidently with senior stakeholders across the business and externally
* Managing complex priorities and competing demands
* Building strong relationships across the business and acting as a professional interface with stakeholders
* Enabling sound decision making for senior leaders
Qualifications
* Proven experience providing senior‑level PA or executive administrative support
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Experience of complex diary management and stakeholder coordination
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* GCSE English, Maths at Grade C (4/5) or above – certificates must be submitted as part of the application
* NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration, or equivalent qualification (preferred)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions, which may affect eligibility based on place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and residency.
